DSI received a request for fairness in the case of a company selling rubber gloves accused of swindling foreigners out of 30 million baht

On April 27, 2021, the DSI publicized the fact that Mr. Pichet Sathirachawal (a member of the House of Representatives and the Chairperson of the Sub-committee on Promotion and Solving Problems of Thailand Rubber Gloves Manufacturing Industry, the House of Representatives) led victims to complain to the DSI accusing a company named P&M Enterprise of doing fraudulent acts in procurement of non-packaged nitrile gloves causing damage of about 37 million baht.

Yesterday (on Wednesday, April 28, 2021) at the Office of the Secretary of the DSI, the representative of the P&M Enterprise submitted a request for fairness to the Director-General. The substance of said request is that the P&M Enterprise actually agreed to enter into a sale and purchase contract for non-packaged nitrile gloves with the Bao Yuan Tong Group Hongkong Holding Limited. The reason for not sending nitrile gloves to the Bao Yuan Tong Group Hongkong Holding Limited (the accuser) comprised the failure to correctly, fully perform the conditions of the contract and the termination of the contract with the P&M Enterprise by the Bao Yuan Tong Group Hongkong Holding Limited. The act of the P&M Enterprise, in this matter, is not fraudulent at the national level as accused but a normal way of business according to the said contract. Besides, the P&M Enterprise has never used the name of senior executives in the Government. This case is still investigating by the inquiry official of the Laem Chabang Police Station. The P&M Enterprise’s representative already met, gave facts and relevant evidence to the said inquiry official with the way to negotiate for resolutions. The P&M Enterprise doubted the person taking the injured person to request the DSI to investigate in this case and requested for justice from the DSI. After the receipt of this request, by the Office of the Secretary, it will submit the request to the Bureau of Special Case Management for compiling and proposing to the Director-General. Then the Director-General will order consideration to provide fairness according to the facts by coordinating with the Laem Chabang Police Station.

The DSI wishes to inform people that its case operations adhere to the Special Case Investigation Act, B.E.2547 (2004) prescribing the standard of working with transparency and accountability by collecting and considering all kinds of facts and evidence that can prove guilt or innocence under authority stipulated by the law.
