Deputy Director-General attended the workshop of the 14th UN Crime Congress via video conference

 

 

       On March 10, 2021, Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtambha (a Deputy Director-General) accompanied by Pol.Maj.Jatupol Bongkochmas (the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau) and his officials as the Thai delegation attended the workshop 4 “The Current Trend of Crime, Development and Solution” of the 14th UN Crime Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice held at Kyoto, Japan via video conference at the Ministry of Justice of Thailand. The conference attending by experts from every sector and representatives of agencies under the justice system of various countries who exchanged ideas, experience, suggestions, and best practices related to the role of technology, such as Cryptocurrency, Darknet, Al, and robotics, in enhancing the suppression of new forms of crime, for example, cybercrime, human trafficking/illegal immigration, and online child sexual abuse, which are the crime issues that the Ministry of Justice and the DSI have prioritized seriously and consecutively.
