DSI hands over its seized property lists in Forex-3D case to AMLO for victim remedy

       The delivery of the aforesaid seized property to the Anti-Money Laundering Office resulted from the legal action against Mr. Apirak Kotethi and his group by the DSI, for using the website, www.forex-3D.com as a channel for deception and persuasion of the public to invest their money in foreign currency exchanges trading (Forex) by offering high return rates at 60% – 80% of the profit from forex trading, which it is an offence of jointly lending loan amounting to public cheating and fraud subject to the Emergency Decree on Loans of Money Amounting to Public Cheating and Fraud, B.E. 2527 (1984) as the special cases nos. 153/2562, 36/63, and 60/2564. There were a lot of victims and huge damage in the aforesaid cases. The DSI has inspected, searched, and seized hundreds of property worth hundreds of million baht derived from or related to crime commission.

       Today (March 2, 2022), at 10:00 a.m., the Director-General of the DSI Mr. Triyarith Temahivong assigned the Director of Illegal Financial Business Crime Bureau Pol.Capt. Wisanu Chimtragool to deliver the property lists detected and seized in the case of Forex-3D to the AMLO’s officers, namely Mr. Jakkrit Ponpradit (Investigator, Professional Level) and Pol.Lt.Col. Weerawat Waraphan (Investigator, Professional Level) assigned by their Secretary-General for taking action pursuant to Section 58 of the Anti-Money Laundering Act, B.E. 2542 (1999) and its amendments, which will be of use to civil procedures in order to remedy the deceived victims. The said delivery witnessed by representatives of the injured persons.

       The DSI strives for taking legal action, both criminal offence and civil offence, against the offence of lending loan amounting to public cheating and fraud by integrating its work with the AMLO under the victim centered approach for providing justice to the public, following the policy of the Justice Minister Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin.
