On Friday, February 18, 2022, at 1.30 p.m., Mr. Triyarith Temahivong, the Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, chaired and opened an online meeting “DSI Online Investigation and Monitoring Systems”, arranged by the Technology Innovation Center for Special Case Investigation and the Bureau of Technology and Information Inspection Center with objectives to educate the DSI’s personnel performing investigation works on the innovative use of its online investigation and monitoring systems consisting of (1) CIS-INQUIRY system (2) CIS-STATS system as parts of the Case Intelligence System (CIS) for convenience of the public and shortening time to contact/ give statements to special case inquiry officials by the public. The aforesaid systems also enable the public to prepare evidence attached to their statements in advance of the meeting with special case inquiry officials.
Furthermore, the systems help special case inquiry officials to prepare their comprehensive set of questions about all the relevant issues, assist them in recording the statement easily, speedily and systematically, and aid the continual monitoring of case status. The aforesaid system is newly developed by the DSI and has been utilized in the case of import of tax evading luxury cars and the fraud case by the Concept Series Company Limited and others inducing people to make investment in space renting services on Cloud Storage. This system will be used in other cases of the DSI in March 2022.
