The DSI Director General disclosed that this DSI open house event was held for the first time and it was a consequence of the DSI receiving many requests from people, during the visit to many areas, asking the DSI to hold such event in its workplace. In this regard, the open house was aimed at creating awareness among youth about their roles, responsibilities, and enhancing their skills in terms of life experiences regarding self-defense, protecting their families, and contributing to society. At present, in addition to having knowledge and abilities, the youth should also have a sense of public spirit and be a good member of society. It is necessary to enhance their skills in utilizing technology and acquiring technical knowledge, as well as to protect themselves from individuals with bad intention who may deceive or mislead them. To achieve this purpose, a demonstration of using technology as a tool for self-protection was included in the event. Additionally, the participating youth could exchange knowledge and experiences in the perspective of the Department of Special Investigation. The youth attending this event came from various institutions, so this opportunity would allow them to get to know each other, have fun together, and gain knowledge simultaneously.
Mr. Pariyapong Wirattiya (Plug), from Assumption University, revealed that he was impressed with the welcoming atmosphere and speakers sharing knowledge. Moreover, he got a chance to try the actual operating equipment and felt impressed that the Director gave him the alias “a big fan of the DSI”.
