DSI Representative Talked about DSI’s Efforts against Human Trafficking
and Child Sexual Exploitation at International Seminar in Vũng Tàu, Vietnam

       From 15 to 17 March 2023, Police Captain Khemachart Prakyhongmanee, Director of Child Sexual Exploitation Crime Center (CSECC), represented the Department of Special Investigation in the capacity building seminar on digital evidence collection for ASEAN law enforcement officers and gave a talk on DSI’s efforts to counter child sexual exploitation using online media. The event was held in the city of Vũng Tàu, Vietnam by the ASEAN-Australia Counter Trafficking (ASEAN-ACT).

       The ASEAN-ACT program is driven under the joint cooperation between the Governments of Thailand and Australia, to combat human trafficking in 7 countries over a 10-year period. Participants in this seminar were law enforcement officers working in countering human trafficking and child sexual exploitation from Vietnam and Australia, as well as experts in digital evidence collection from various countries. It is intended to enhance cooperation among ASEAN member countries in sharing information relating to digital evidence.

         On 16 March 2023, Police Captain Khemachart gave a presentation on the role of DSI in fighting transnational crime (in particular, human trafficking and online child sexual exploitation) and its policy implementation, to share with international partners the DSI’s efforts to investigate child sexual exploitation, which leads to the implementation of relevant policies at national and ASEAN regional levels.
