Among the DSI participants were DSI Deputy Director General Police Captain Piya Raksakul, Acting Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Mr. Somroek Tangkharawakhun and Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Ms Arunsri Wichawut.
During this visit, both sides also discussed about opportunities to advance the longstanding cooperation between AFP and DSI, especially in combating the ever-intensifying threat of cybercrime. In this regard, the posting of AFP Digital Forensic Specialist to Thailand will therefore lead to a great opportunity for both agencies to work together in the form of training and knowledge sharing to further the capacity building efforts for law enforcement officers.
On this occasion, the DSI Director General extended an invitation to the AFP delegation to visit the DSI Academy and pledged his support for future training to be organized by the Australian Federal Police.
