ENDSI Deputy Director General attended meeting and press conference on progress made in line with the law against cybercrime

On 8 May 2023, DSI Deputy Director General Police Lieutenant Colonel Phayao Thongsen represented the DSI Director General in the 1st meeting of the Committee on Cyber Crime Prevention and Suppression (meeting no. 1/2566). The objectives of the committee were to identify guidelines for cyber crime prevention and suppression, to provide recommendations on reasonable suspicion in accordance with the Emergency Decree on Cyber Crime Prevention and Suppression, B.E. 2566 (2023), and to offer suggestions and counselling regarding the compliance by officials of state and relevant agencies with this Emergency Decree.
The committee executive members consist of Minister of Digital Economy and Society Mr Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn as Chairperson, and his Permanent Secretary Professor Wisit Wisitsora-at and Police Commissioner General Pol Gen Damrongsak Kittiprapas as Vice Chairpersons.
Following the meeting, the DSI Deputy Director General joined the press conference by Minister Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn to update on progress made in relation to the Emergency Decree on Cyber Crime Prevention and Suppression at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) meeting room 1, 9th floor of the Office of the Permanent Secretary for MDES, at the Government Complex (Ratthaprasasanabhakti Building), Chaeng-wattana Road, Laksi, Bangkok.
