DSI Director-General policy on professional at work, upholding laws and core values of DSI, (Dignity, Specialty, Integrity) delivered to DSI executives and officers

 

 

       On October 7, 2021, at 10.00 a.m. the Director-General of the DSI Mr. Triyarith Temahivong delivered his policy to executives and officers of the DSI, via video conferencing, attended by his 3 deputies Pol.Lt.Col. Supat Thamthanarug, Pol.Col. Akarapol Punyopashtambha and Pol.Maj. Yuthana Praedam, Bureau Directors, and Heads of Special Case Operation Center Region 1-9.

       The Director-General’s policy on investigation, inquiry, prevention and suppression of special case crime in accordance with good governance principles aims for transparency, integrity, accuracy, validity, and reliability and for effective spending of the government budget, as he had announced work effectiveness of the DSI to the mass media and people since October 1, 2021. At present the DSI can reclaim and return property over 400,000 million baht to government and private sectors, and people.

 

 

 

       The Director-General ordered the performance of duty of officials of the DSI by upholding laws and core values of DSI (Dignity, Specialty, Integrity) and Section 82(2) of the Civil Service Act, B.E. 2551 (2008) that reads: a civil servant must perform official duties in accordance with laws, regulations, rules of official authorities, resolutions of the Council of Ministers, and policies of the government, and must act in accordance with the regulatory framework of official authorities; and a civil servant must perform official duties in accordance with Section 82(6), that is, she/he must preserve official secrets strictly. For the special case work, the DSI has its own rules and practices. The Director-General ordered every official to perform duties in accordance with the aforesaid rules and practices strictly under the close control of superiors of all levels.

       The Director-General said that the reason for much emphasis placed on the performance of official duties is due to its priority, its impacts to efficiency in the special case proceedings, and the possible disciplinary and criminal offences. In addition, the Director-General asked his executives and officials to drive the DSI for its being the main organization enforcing laws against special crime according to the international standards, adhering to law enforcement, complying with good governance principles, namely, transparency, indiscriminate justice facilitation, and for its being the organization that people can actually rely on.
