DSI, Thailand Institute of Justice and Hanns Seidel Foundation in Thailand jointly arrange training course on Psychological Analysis and Investigative Interviewing Techniques for Special Cases

 

 

       The DSI joined with the Thailand Institute of Justice and Hanns Seidel Foundation in Thailand in conducting a training project on Psychological Analysis and Investigative Interviewing Techniques for Special Cases. The opening ceremony was held on June 6, 2022 at 08.45 a.m. After the welcoming speech by Mr. Triyarith Temahivong, the Director-General of the DSI, Deputy Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Phayao Thongsen chaired the opening ceremony as assigned by the Director-General. This training project was held on June 6-10 and June 13 2022 at Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. The lecturers from foreign law enforcement agencies in Thailand and overseas comprised the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), the Defence Forces, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States of America stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, the Australian Federal Police (AFP), the Embassy of Israel in Thailand, the Norwegian Police University College in Oslo, Norway, and the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights of Oslo University. The aim of this training project was to educate special case inquiry officials and special case officers, the trainees, about psychological behavior analysis according to psychology principles and investigative interviewing techniques for being able to integrate knowledge and skill learned to properly perform special case investigation and inquiry and correctly select and employ investigative interviewing techniques with efficiency and effectiveness, and fairness under the rule of law and the international standard to strengthen the public confidence in the justice system.
