On Monday, January 21, 2019, 9:00 a.m., at Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ),Pol.Col.Paisit Wongmuang (the Director-General of DSI) accompanied by his Deputy Director-General Mr.Triyarit Temativong, Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtambha (the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau) and Mrs.Atchara Preyajit (the Director of Development and Logistics Bureau) attended an opening ceremony of a workshop “From Interrogation To Investigative Interviewing” aimed at enhancing capacity for interviewing of inquiry officials.
The 3-day workshop was held on January 21-23, 2019 under the cooperation between the TIJ, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok, and the DSI. Instructors comprised experts from the Norwegian Police University College, Norwegian Centre for Human Rights, University of Oslo. The 43 trainees are officials of the Office of the Attorney General, the Royal Thai Police, the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission, the Office of Narcotics Control Board, the Anti-Money Laundering Office, and the DSI.
The speakers at the opening ceremony of the workshop included the Director-General of DSI, the Executive Director of TIJ, Mr. Kitipong Kittayarak, Ph.D, and Norwegian Ambassador to Thailand H.E. Ms.Kjersti Rodsmoen.
