On Monday, April 1, 2019, 9:00 a.m. at the DSI’s computer training room, Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtambha (the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau) presided over the opening ceremony of the training course on “Use of i2 for analyzing information and preliminary screenings evidence found at the crime scene (Onsite Preview)”.
The 5-day training course for officials of the DSI, the Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS), and the Department of Provincial Administration of the Ministry of Interior organized on 1-5 April 2019 by the DSI, the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) and the ECPAT Foundation was aimed at educating the trainees about technologies for new investigation methods, and information and evidence management that will be of use for prosecuting criminals exploiting technologies to commit crimes either computer crime or transnational crime.
The distinguished guests in the opening ceremony comprised Mr.Chayanont Rungruangsuk (the Deputy Director of HSF) and Mr.Christian Ehrlich (police liaison officer) from the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany (or the Bundeskriminalamt-BKA) stationed at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bangkok, Thailand.
