DSI signed the Agreement on Extension of Taskforce STORM

 

On November 20, 2017, the DSI’s Deputy Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Korawat Panprapakorn, attended the signing ceremony of the Agreement on Extension of Taskforce STORM, the partnership between the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and Thai law enforcement authorities: the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), the Royal Thai Police (RTP), the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), and the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO). The ceremony was arranged after the courtesy call to Mr. Suwapan Tanyuwattana, the Minister of Justice of Thailand, by the Honorable Michael Keenan, the Minister of Justice of Australia. The agreement is aimed at jointly investigating, intelligence coordinating and evidence gathering for the fight against transnational organized syndicates committed crimes in Thailand and Australia, such as narcotics trafficking and money laundering, etc.
