DSI thanked ABF liaison officer for his support
On July 31, 2018, at the Embassy of Australia in Bangkok, Pol.Col. Songsak Raksaksakul, the DSI’s Deputy Director-General, together with Pol.Lt.Col. Paisith Sungkahapong, Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau and his deputy Mr. Somroek Tangkharawakhun attended a function hosted by the Ambassador of the Australian Embassy to bid farewell to Mr. Vince Shaw, a liaison officer of the Australian Border Force (ABF) stationed in Thailand. Mr. Vince Shaw had played an important role in initiating a closer cooperation between the ABF and the DSI which led to a signing of the MOU on the disclosure and use of information between the Australian Immigration and Border Protection Department and the Department of Special Investigation in November 2017, including many training courses provided to the DSI’s officials by the ABF.
