Executives of DSI and Belgian Federal Police agreed to strengthen their cooperation in combating transnational crime

On May 28, 2018, 11.00 am., at the Headquarters of Belgian Federal (BFP) in Brussels, the Kingdom of Belgium, the DSI's Director-General Pol.Col. Paisit Wongmuang and his Deputy Pol.Col. Songsak Raksaksakul met with Mr. Peter de Buysscher (the BFP's Director of International Police Cooperation).

In this meeting attended by officials of the DSI and the BFP, there was a discussion about the possibility of producing a memorandum of understanding on combating transnational crime for determining their guideline on concrete collaboration. The DSI and the BFP have been working together on crime control in various dimensions for years, in particular exchanging intelligence about human trafficking and child sexual exploitation including transnational crime relating to or supporting international terrorism and passport forgery and counterfeit. Officials at operational level of both agencies will discuss this topic in detail.
