HSI Regional Attaché honored DSI with Appreciation Plaque for cooperation in arresting offenders

 

          On May 3, 2018, 1.30 pm., at the DSI's Meeting Room 1, the officials from the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) led by Mr. Eric McLoughlin, the HSI Regional Attach?, paid a courtesy call on the DSI' Director General to honor him with a plaque and presented certificates to the Deputy Director General (1), the Director of the Bureau of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime, the Director of the Bureau of Special Operation, and related DSI's officials (from the Transnational Crime Division 2 under the Bureau of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime and the Bureau of Special Operation) as tokens of appreciation for successful case cooperation resulting in the arrest and prosecution against the alleged offenders in the case of smuggling of firearms parts from the U.S. into Thailand and money laundering.






 
 
          The DSI and the HSI have continually collaborated and interacted in investigative and academic matters under the Memorandum of Understanding on Combating Transnational Crime signed by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the DSI in Washington D.C., USA, on August 24, 2017.
