JUSMAGTHAI and DSI discussed joint combined exercise programs

 

                      

On Tuesday, February 28, 2019, at the DSI, Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtambha (the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau) and his deputy Mr.Somroek Tangkharawakhun together with Pol.Capt.Thinavudth Silapat (the Bureau's Head of Transnational Crime Division 1) and Mr.Seksith Sawarayatipat (the Head of the Institute for Special Case Investigation Development of the Development and Logistics Bureau) welcomed a delegation of JUSMAGTHAI led by the Director of Interagency Capabilities of the Joint United States Military Advisory Group, Thailand, Major Jay Molloy (US Army), and Master Sergeant Robin Sielert (US Army Special Forces) with their assistant.

 

 

The delegation of JUSMAGTHAI visited the DSI to discuss a joint combined exercise program “Tempest Wind 19 (TW19)” between the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the United States Armed Forces for Responses to Crises of Mass Destruction Weapons and International Terrorism for the Year 2019. This exercise program is aimed at enhancing integrated operational capacities of security agencies of the Governments of Thailand and the US for managing crises, resolving terrorism that employs mass destruction weapons, combating transnational organized crime syndicates, and strengthening good relations between agencies of both countries.

The delegation of JUSMAGTHAI thanked the DSI for its cooperation, support and comments for preparations and activity plans of the TW 19. The Director appreciated the recognition of the DSI works by JUSMAGTHAI that invited the DSI to partake in this exercise program as it will increase knowledge, improve abilities of personnel of the DSI, and raise its enforcing laws to meet international standards.
