On February 28, 2019, 10:30 a.m., at the DSI, Mr.Elias Manuel Navarro Dorado, Attaché (Police Liaison Officer) from the Embassy of Spain in Bangkok paid a courtesy call on Pol.Lt.Col.Prakorn Sucheevakun (a Deputy Director-General of the DSI) and Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtambha (the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau) to congratulate the Deputy Director-General and the Director on their new positions in the DSI.
The Deputy Director-General, the Director, and Mr.Elias Manuel Navarro Dorado discussed the ways to foster their close cooperation against transnational crime. With leads, information, and good cooperation on cases obtained from the Embassy of Spain in Bangkok, the DSI could extend its investigations into many cases of ID cards and documents forgery involving transnational crime syndicates. Mr.Elias Manuel Navarro Dorado also expressed his concern about international terrorism, a threat to national and international security.
