U.S. Ambassador to Thailand praised DSI for its serious crime control

 

 

On Wednesday afternoon, April 18, 2018, at the Ministry of Justice's meeting room, Pol.Lt.Col.Paisith Sungkahapong, Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau, as the DSI's representative, attended the meeting between Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong (the Minister of Justice of Thailand) and Mr. Glyn T. Davies (the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand) who paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Justice. During the discussion on cooperation in law enforcement and crime control between law enforcement agencies of the U.S. and Thailand, the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand praised the DSI for its work to control serious crimes, especially the cases of human trafficking and child sexual abuse handled by the DSI including its successful investigations into cases requested by law enforcement agencies of the U.S. like the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The U.S. Ambassador to Thailand also offered training support to the DSI and agencies under the Ministry of Justice of Thailand.
