DSI and Cambodian National Police discussed and exchanged human trafficking information

 

 

       On November 2-3, 2022, Mr. Triyarith Temahivong (Director-General) assigned Pol.Capt. Piya Raksakul (Deputy Director-General) and Pol.Maj.  Siriwish Chantechasitkul (Director of Human Trafficking Bureau) to represent the Department of Special Investigation in the meeting with Pol.Lt.Gen. Chiv Phally (Deputy Commissioner General of the Cambodian National Police), Pol.Maj.Gen. Sim Phanom (Director of Department of Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection) and representatives of the Cambodian National Police for the Bilateral meeting on Counter Trafficking in Persons between Department of Special Investigation and Cambodian National Police 2022, held in Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province. The meeting was sponsored by the ASEAN-Australia Counter Trafficking (ASEAN-ACT) and held annually between the DSI and the Cambodian National Police to bolster the cooperations for prevention and suppression of human trafficking, exchange information, and boost the inter-agency capabilities. The two agencies exchanged intelligence regarding the trafficking situations and case proceeding guidelines as well as discussed the preparation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the agencies.
