The Advanced Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Investigation Training Course, organized by the U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), was attended by 50 participants from DSI (Technology and Cyber Crime Bureau and Human Trafficking Bureau), Anti-Money Laundering Office, Royal Thai Police (Anti Trafficking In Persons Division, Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, Immigration Bureau, Office of Police Forensic Science, Southern Border Provinces Investigation Division, Patong Provincial Police Station, Khao Chamao Provincial Police Station), Department of Provincial Administration, and Pattaya Provincial Prosecutor's Office, as well as Cambodian National Police. In addition, representatives from the civil society and non-profit organizations also participated, including Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (Department of Children and Youth, Division of Anti-Trafficking in Persons, Chonburi Shelter for Children and Families, Ratchaburi Shelter for Children and Families, etc.), Pattaya City, A21 Foundation, Destiny Rescue Foundation, For Freedom International Foundation, and IJM Foundation.
In this training course, participants learned investigative techniques for child exploitation and human trafficking, such as Darkweb Investigation, Interviewing, Questioning Children, Cryptocurrency, and Working with multidisciplinary teams. The instructors were from HSI and Advanced Wireless Network (AWN). Participants also had the opportunity to exchange experiences with the instructors and other participants, and to visit the A21 Foundation's Child Advocacy Center in Pattaya.
