DSI received electronic equipment assisting its investigation and personnel development from UNODC

 

 

       On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, 2 p.m., the Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Korrawat Panprapakorn, a Deputy Director-General Pol.Col. Akarapol Punyopashtambha, and the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau Pol.Maj. Jatupol Bongkochmas attended the online ceremony to receive electronic equipment from the United Nation Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) by Mr.Jeremy Douglas, the UNODC Regional Officer for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, and his team.

       On this occasion, the Director-General and a Deputy Director-General thanked the representative of the UNODC for supporting the DSI with electronic equipment, such as Tablets Forensic UV Light Emitters, and Publications, that assist in investigation and inquiry, and personnel competency development of the DSI. Besides, both parties discussed to expand their framework of cooperation in various areas, particularly the personnel abilities development through the DSI Academy, scheduled to be completed at the end of 2021, as the law enforcement training institute to assist both officials of the DSI and other agencies in dealing with modern crimes more effectively and complying with international standards and procedures for the benefits of the country and people.
