DSI has launched the Advanced Digital Evidence Handling Training Program to prepare personnel to efficiently work with advanced digital evidence


       On June 19th, 2023, at Learning Studio 1, 1st Floor, Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ), Chaengwattana Rd., Bangkok, Police Captain Wisanu Chimtrakool, Deputy Director General of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), served as the chairman in the opening ceremony of the Advanced Digital Evidence Handling Training Program. The training program was scheduled to take place from June 19th to 23rd, 2023. Miss Sununta Hongprapat, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Development and Logistics, delivered a report on the objectives and goals of the training program. This training program was organized to develop the potential of personnel of the DSI to have knowledge and understanding about advanced digital evidence collection in order to apply knowledge and practices accurately in their work. There are 26 participants in total who will gain knowledge on advanced digital evidence handling such as

  • The situations and trends of digital evidence by Mrs. Kanoklada Charoensiri, Financial and Banking Crime Expert, DSI
  • The sequencing and screening of electronic evidence at crime scenes by Miss Amornrat Lekwichai, a lecturer from the Central Institute of Forensic Science
  • The principles and processes for digital evidence examination by Police Lieutenant Colonel Patana Sugarasut, Special Case Expert
  • The identification, collection, and preservation of digital evidence by Mr. Luck Chalermchai, a lecturer from the Bureau of Illegal Financial Business, DSI
  • The mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and extradition by Mr. Boonyawut Boonyatikarn and Mr. Kulachai Thonglongya, Public Prosecutors attached to the Office of the Attorney General
  • The digital evidence examination as an expert witness in mock court by Mr. Thepprathanphon Thongklang, Provincial Public Prosecutor attached to the Office of the Attorney General
  • The mutual legal assistance in criminal matters on digital evidence by Police Captain Puvadet Prommakrit, Public Prosecutor attached to the Office of the Attorney General
