DSI executives deliver seedlings to officers to plant at residents under the project “DSI unite to plant trees to increase green areas in community”

 

 

       On Monday, May 23, 2022, 11.30 a.m. at the DSI, Mr. Triyarith Temahivong (the Director-General of the DSI) and his executives chaired the project called “DSI unite to plant trees to increase green areas in community” and delivered seedlings to the officers. The said project was held on the National Tree Day 2022, in response to the Cabinet resolution on January 31, 1989 approving the Visakha Puja Day of every year as the National Tree Day, to promote and stimulate the DSI officers to realize the importance of conservation and effective utilization of natural resources, the activity under the action plan according to the organizational governance policy of the DSI for the fiscal year 2022 in terms of state, society, and environment.

       There were 72 representatives from 36 agencies joining the activity to obtain seedlings, namely, Teak, Yang, Makha mong, Elephant apple, Queen’s flower, Robusta Coffee, and Dominican mahogany, 700 seedlings in total, received from the Seedling Nursery Station of Nonthaburi Province, the Royal Forest Department, for distributing and planting at their own residents.
