DSI attends Web Intelligence Presentation by Thammasat University research team
On January 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Police Colonel Akarapol Punyopashtambha (a Deputy Director-General of the DSI) chaired the presentation on the set of instruments for increasing efficiency in gathering and examining intelligence and investigations in depth by employing information technology networks known as “Web Intelligence” by the lecturer research team of Thammasat University. The research is aimed at advancing applications that help collect open data to assist investigations and inquiries into bid rigging cases. Currently, the data collected are over 1,000 lists. The users not only can search for the bidders and information of companies, but also can analyze the related relations from the said existent data. Besides, knowledge of information analysis for investigation and inquiry was presented by Mr. Thawattchai Termsrisuk, the former Head of Crime Analysis Division, the Regional Operation Bureau of the DSI.
