DSI hosted a Workshop on Enhancing Cooperation between DSI officers and representatives of the Foreign Anti-Narcotics and Crime Community of Thailand (FANC)

 

            DSI Deputy Director General Police Captain Piya Raksakul presided over the Opening Ceremony of a Workshop on Enhancing Cooperation between DSI officers and representatives of the Foreign Anti-Narcotics and Crime Community of Thailand (FANC) hosted by Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau, at Sida Resort, Nakhon Nayok Province, from 16 to 17 March 2023 and gave a special talk on the topic of Directions in policy implementation in anti-transnational crime.

       Acting Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau Mr. Somroek Tangkharawakhun, Director of Human Trafficking Bureau Police Major Siriwish Chantechasitkul, Director of Special Operations Bureau Police Major Jatupol Bongkochmas and representative of Child Sexual Exploitation Crime Center (CSECC) Mr. Sompat Jaksomsak participated in presentations on the topics: the role of law enforcement officers in preventing and suppressing transnational crime, prevention of child sexual exploitation, human trafficking and the role of support agencies in special case proceedings. The 76 attendees included the DSI officers and the FANC officers (the officers from embassies of 11 countries). In this workshop, the attendees were separated into focus groups to discuss the assigned topics for the purpose of enhancing the effectiveness of proactive cooperation between agencies in anti-transnational crime.
