DSI organizes the 1st workshop to test the usability of its first draft of blockchain-based architecture for data storage used by its Witness Protection Center

 

 

       On December 16 – 17, 2021, at the DSI Academy, Nong Chok District, Bangkok, the Department of Special Investigation by its Foreign Affair and Transnational Crime Bureau organizes the 1st workshop to test the usability of the first draft of its blockchain-based architecture for data storage to be used by the Witness Protection Center of the DSI. This two-day workshop is a part of the research project on the use of blockchain to support witness protection work of the DSI under financial support from the Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI).

       The research project on the use of blockchain to support witness protection work of the DSI is aiming at employing Blockchain, which is a processing and decentralized data storage technology known as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), to develop the witness protection management system of the DSI for transparency and accountability of the system and for high data reliability, safety and accuracy that will result in its modern witness protection system appropriate to current situations with more efficiency of performing work, which will generate a public confidence in duty performance of officials of the DSI and facilitate justice to the people with equality, transparency, fairness, thoroughness and free from discrimination.
