On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the DSI, Mr. Triyarith Temahivong (the Director-General of the DSI) and Pol.Maj. Worranan Srilum (the Director of Special Case Management Bureau) received a complaint letter from Air Vice Marshal Ittaporn Kanacharoen, MD (the Secretary General of the Medical Council of Thailand), about a group of doctors demanded to transfer money for bank account inspection by a call center gang claiming to be officers of the DSI and saying that the doctors took part in money laundering. In this matter, the DSI confirmed that it has no policy to inspect bank accounts of the injured persons. If there is such scam calls, do not be fooled by the scammers. The DSI will coordinate and integrate its work with related agencies to inspect and further take legal proceedings against the gang.
