On Tuesday afternoon (4:30 p.m.), February 23, 2021, at the Meeting Room 1 of the DSI headquarters, the Deputy Director-General Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtamha (assigned by the Director-General Pol.Lt.Col.Korrawat Panprapakorn) acted as the head of executives of the Department of Special Investigation in the video conference between executives of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of Ukraine and the DSI. The meeting was facilitated and honorary attended by Ukrainian Ambassador to Thailand H.E.Andrii Beshta who played host to this video conference and invited the Deputy Director Mr.Oleksandr Sokolov of the SBI to attend the meeting.
The Deputy Director-General Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtamha talked to the Deputy Director Mr.Oleksandr Sokolov of the SBI of Ukraine about the direction of cooperation enhancement between the DSI and the SBI. In the meeting, the DSI and the SBI agreed to collaborate, especially in terms of mutual legal assistance in criminal matters for efficiency in law enforcement. The DSI and the SBI also agreed to cooperate in the exchange of information, the increase of personnel expertise, and the visits by their executives. The DSI and the SBI approved of the proposal to have their memorandum of understanding on cooperation to counter transnational crime and serious modern crime for jointly, effectively working. The focal point for coordination of each agency will be discussed later.
