on the occasion of the visit to the DSI Academy as well as the Flagship Course
to enhance the competencies of the DSI officers and officers of law enforcement agencies working under the Special Case Investigation Act, to be prepared for countering threats from special crime

On April 18th, 2023, DSI Director-General Police Major Suriya Singhakamol assigned DSI Academy Director Police Captain Tinawut Silapat and Head of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Division, Bureau of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Mr. Udomkaan Warotamasikkhadit to welcome Australian Federal Police (AFP) Commander Asia Mr. Peter Sykora and the delegation to DSI Academy, Nong Chok District, Bangkok.

The DSI Academy Director led the tour of the Academy, introduced the Academy’s Mission and discussed the guidelines for cooperation in providing Flagship Course in the form of a working group. The course emphasizes the enhancement of job specific skills based on international standard to expand knowledge in various fields by sharing best practices critical to Special Case Management. The aim of providing the course is to improve the competencies of the DSI officers and the officers of law enforcement agencies who participate in joint operations under the Special Case Investigation Act, to be prepared for countering threats from special crimes such as cyber-crime, economic crime, and drug trafficking, etc.
The visit to the DSI Academy of the AFP is to build operational networks between the two agencies and other relevant agencies both domestically and internationally with the future goal of extending the network to cover law enforcement agencies in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) to efficiently cooperate in prevention and suppression of special crime in the age of globalization.
