Director-General of the DSI attends the 17^th Household Debt Settlement Mediation and the meeting with locals by agencies under the Justice Ministry in Sukhothai Province

On May 30, 2022, at Thailand National Sports University Sukhothai Campus, Sukhothai Province, Mr. Triyarith Temahivong (the Director-General of the DSI), accompanied by Pol.Capt. Piya Raksakul (Director of Bureau of Financial, Banking and Money Laundering Crime), Mr. Mahesak Punsanga (Director of Bureau of Regional Operation) and Mr. Phongsathon Inamnuay (Head of Special Case Operation Center Region 6), attended the 17th Household Debt Settlement Mediation and the meeting with locals by agencies under the Justice Ministry. Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin (the Minister of Justice) chaired the opening ceremony of the event joined by Mr. Suchat Teekasuk (Vice Governor of Sukhothai) and the executives of the Ministry of Justice.

While visiting the exhibition booth of the DSI aimed at educating the participants about its assistance to unfairly-treated debtors and people, the access to the justice system, the law relevant to special case proceedings, and the channel for filling complaints in special circumstances, the chairperson was briefed by the Director-General of the DSI and the Head of Special Case Operation Center Region 6, before visiting the exhibition booths of other agencies.

The chairperson also attended the 27^th auction of property seized in narcotic cases. The 155 items of property were auctioned, such as 200 baht weight of gold ornaments amounting to 5.6 million baht. In 2022, 2027 items of seized property amounting to 96.2 million baht were auctioned by the Office of the Narcotics Control Board. The money earned from the auction will be used as the rewards for the informants or the responsible officers and the budget for the action to prevent, suppress and solve the narcotic problems.
