DSI attends the 2^nd Household Debt Settlement Mediation held by the Ministry of Justice in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

       On Friday, March 18, 2022, Mr. Triyarith Temahivong (the Director-General of the DSI) assigned his Deputy Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Phayao Thongsen and Mrs. Umaporn Preaprasert (the Head of the Debtors and Unfairly-Treated People Help Center) as the representatives to attend the event, jointly organize the exhibition and educate participants about the process of assisting debtors and people unfairly treated in the 2^nd Household Debt Settlement Mediation held at the market named Therdthai(Talkoo) in Suranaree Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin (the Minister of Justice) chaired the opening of the event aimed at responding to the government policy given by the Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha who prioritizes the solutions to debt and trouble problems of people. The Prime Minister then set the year 2022 as “the Year of Household Debt Settlement” aiming at solving all types of problems, such as student loans, loans for purchase of vehicles and motorcycles, credit card debts and personal loans, etc., by employing mediation processes for opening opportunities for creditors and debtors to negotiate debt settlements, restructure debts, and end their disputes quickly, conveniently and free of charges, for building opportunities for people to be able to access to the justice system in every dimension, and for participating in doing a service to the public by agencies under the Ministry of Justice.
