Director-General of DSI announces his policy for the year 2022 "New Dimensions of Special Case Investigations" to expedite successful investigations of 7 main cases, uphold the rule of law, guarantee fairness for society, expresses his confidence in ability to work unitedly of officials


 

 

       On Friday, October 1, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. the DSI organized a press conference on the policy of the DSI for the year 2022 "New Dimension of Special Investigations" attended by Mr.Triyarith Temahivong (the Director-General) and his 3 Deputies Director-General, Pol.Lt.Col.Supat Thamthanarug, Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtambha and Pol.Maj.Yuthana Praedam, and executives of the DSI.

       Mr.Triyarith said that today he is the director-general of the DSI as appointed and he wants the public to know that, starting from today, the DSI will expedite its work to be more efficient. Under the leadership of Mr.Somsak Thepsutin (the Minister of Justice) and according to the government's national strategic policy, the DSI will prioritize the following 7 (in process) cases. First, case of 1,428 luxury cars worth 9,800 million baht. Second, drugs-related cases which the DSI will focus on the seizure of drug networks’ assets. Third, tax frauds or contraband smuggling cases (6 in-process cases) worth 178,000 million baht. Fourth, online gambling cases with damage exceeding 900,000 million baht. Fifth, 12 nominee cases worth 46,000 million baht in tourist attractions committed by foreigners Sixth, 3 cases of bid rigging and public procurement with 7,000 million baht damage. Seventh, tresspasses on natural resources cases. Due to enormous amounts of damage of the aforesaid cases, the DSI quickens its investigations.
