Today (May 1, 2023), Mr. Kritsada Inthamara, an attorney, accompanied by over 100 employees of the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) gave a flower bouquet and expressed their gratitude to Pol.Maj. Suriya Singhakamol (Director-General), Pol.Capt. Wisanu Chimtrakool (Deputy Director-General), and Pol.Capt. Surawoot Rungsai (Director of Government Procurement Fraud Bureau) for working on their case in accordance with the evidence and providing fairness for the PAT employees.
The PAT employees requested the DSI to investigate into the corruption case of wrongful disbursement of overtime pay, holiday pay, holiday overtime pay for the PAT employees, then such corrupted disbursement documents were used to file lawsuits with the Central Labour Court to claim additional payments for the duration of 2002-2012. The Board of Special Case Meeting no.6/2556, on December 17, 2013, passed its resolution to accept the case as special case no. 4/2557. The DSI’s investigation discovered convincing evidence that 37 alleged offenders (36 PAT executives and employees and 1 attorney) jointly carried out wrongful disbursement of overtime pay, holiday pay, holiday overtime pay by collaborating in producing disbursement documents for overtime pay, holiday pay, holiday overtime pay, regarded as the offence of “jointly being officials having the duty of making documents, receiving documents, or filling the contents of documents and exercising their duties in false documents, the offence of jointly being officials, wrongfully exercising or not exercising any of their functions or dishonestly exercising or omitting to exercise any of their functions, and the offence of causing others to give false evidence to the Court in the judicial proceedings and adducing or producing false evidence in judicial proceedings”.
The DSI commits itself to preventing and suppressing wrongful acts regarded as special case and enhancing justice for people for their legal fairness.
