DSI and DLT cooperate to increase work efficiency

 

 

       On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., Mr. Triyarith Temahivong (the Director-General of the DSI) and his executives, Pol.Maj. Yuthana Praedam (a Deputy Director-General), Pol.Lt.Col. Phayao Thongsen (the Director of Intellectual Property Crime Bureau), Mr. Mahesak Punsanga (the Director of Regional Operation Bureau), and Pol.Capt. Piya Raksakul (the Director of Special Case Management Bureau), visited Mr. Chirute Visalachitra (the Director-General of the Department of Land Transport–DLT) at the DLT, Chatuchak District, Bangkok attended by Mr. Seksom Akaraphan (the Director of the Bangkok Transport Office Area 5) to discuss guidelines on work integration between the DSI and the DLT related to cases of luxury cars.

 

 

       The Director-General of the DSI explained the purpose of meeting with the Director-General of the DLT that because the DSI is in the process of legal proceedings against those relating to luxury cars cases and a lot of documents in these cases relate to the DLT. The DSI has received good cooperation from the DLT since the past. Thus today the DSI visits to express its gratitude and discuss how to increase collaboration efficiency of the two departments. Their memorandum of agreement on cooperation in the prevention and suppression of offences related to special cases has become effective since July 30, 2005. The meeting agreed about the following important issues.

1. The point of contact, the DSI assigned Mr. Mahesak Punsanga (the Director of Regional Operation Bureau) and the DLT assigned Mr. Seksom Akaraphan (the Director of the Bangkok Transport Office Area 5).

2. Coordination in collecting documents and relevant evidence, such as vehicle registration documents and other related documents.

3. Actions related to the inspection of cars seized as exhibits.

4. Recording the words of the officials attached to the documents.

       For such actions, the DSI will send vehicle information to the DLT for inspection and joint actions in order to obtain evidence supporting its inquiry files, and to speed up inquiries and increase efficiency in legal proceedings in case of luxury cars.
