On June 8, 2018, the DSI’s Deputy Director-General Pol.Col. Songsak Raksaksakul presided at the closing ceremony of the 2nd class of the Advanced Course on Investigations into Child Pornography and Sexual Abuse, held at the Mountain Beach Hotel in Pattaya, Chonburi Province, to deliver the course certificates to the trainees.
This course organized on June 3-8, 2018 by the Working Group for the Project on the Action-Oriented Study: Combating Child Sex Tourism (headed by Pol.Capt. Khemachart Prakayhongmanee-the Deputy Director of the Bureau of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime of the DSI) and the Fight Against Child Exploitation Foundation (FACE) with financial support from the Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) was aimed at providing the trainees with insights into the ways to investigate crimes relating to child pornography and child Sexual Abuse based on the victim-focused principle. The instructors in this course included the experts from the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
