DSI and RTP discussed the Use of INTERPOL's Databases

 

 

On Monday, June 11, 2018, at the DSI, Pol.Lt.Col. Paisith Sungkahapong (the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau) welcomed and met with the representatives from the Royal Thai Police (RTP) led by Pol.Col. Narin Khamkean (the Deputy Commander of Foreign Affairs Division) to discuss the DSI's possibility of accessing to the INTERPOL's databases managed by the RTP known as the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) for Thailand. Previously the DSI submitted its letter to the RTP requesting access to the aforesaid INTERPOL's databases. The DSI is now coordinating with the RTP's Foreign Affairs Division on technical matters for preparing its basic equipment needed for system installations. After obtaining the RTP's approval letter, the DSI will propose its agreement on this matter with the RTP to the Cabinet for consideration.

 

 

On June 12, 2018, the DSI's representative Pol.Maj. Niti Sumritdetkhachorn (the Deputy Director of Bureau of Technology and Information Inspection Center) visited the RTP to learn electronic working systems of its Foreign Affairs Division in order to prepare the DSI's systems for linking up with the systems of INTERPOL's databases of the RTP.
