German diplomats praised DSI for its support
On July 19, 2018, around 2:00 p.m. at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bangkok, the DSI's Deputy Director-General Pol.Col. Songsak Raksaksakul, accompanied by the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau Pol.Lt.Col.Paisith Sungkahapong and his deputy director Pol.Capt.Khemachart Prakayhongmanee, received the Certificate of Appreciation from Mr.Jan Scheer (the Minister and the Deputy Head of Mission) of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany attended by Mr.Christian Ehrlich, a liaison officer of the Federal Criminal Police Office stationed in Thailand.
The German diplomats expressed their appreciation for the DSI's full cooperation and support in investigating cases of child sexual abuse and other cases requested by their agencies leading to the success in arresting child sex offenders, locating witnesses and bringing them to testify before the courts in Germany, and tracking down German missing persons. Both parties also exchanged their perspectives on law enforcement and future cooperation on cases and technical assistance in terms of training for personnel development.
