Department of Special Investigation (DSI) Opens Registration for Victims of Condominium Investment Scheme by New Nordic Development Co., Ltd. in Phetchaburi, Chonburi, Chumphon, Surat Thani, and Phuket Provinces

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has received complaints from injured persons requesting an investigation and legal action against New Nordic Development Co., Ltd. for allegedly soliciting investments in condominium projects or properties in Phetchaburi, Chonburi, Chumphon, Surat Thani, and Phuket provinces. The company advertised returns at a rate higher than the maximum interest rate which financial institutions under the law on interest rate of financial institution can pay, resulting in significant financial losses for many investors. Preliminary investigations suggest the total damage could amount to 3,400 million baht. Such actions may constitute borrowings which are regarded as public fraud, which are offenses under the Criminal Code and the Emergency Decree on Borrowings which are Regarded as Public Cheating and Fraud, B.E. 2527 (1984) and its amendment. The DSI has accepted this case as a special case for investigation under the Special Case Investigation Act, B.E. 2547 (2004) and its amendment (Special Case No. 56/2564).
For the benefits of prosecuting the offenders and obtaining evidence to ensure accurate and complete investigation, the DSI is requesting injured persons who wish to file complaints and provide information against New Nordic Development Co., Ltd. to proceed as follows:
1. For those who invested and suffered losses from the condominium project in Phetchaburi Province, please send information via email to yoothaporn@gmail.com and yoothaporn_pra@dsi.go.th by December 31, 2024, and
2. For those who invested and suffered losses from the condominium projects in Chonburi, Surat Thani, Chumphon, and Phuket Provinces, please send information via email to yoothaporn@gmail.com and yoothaporn_pra@dsi.go.th by March 31, 2025.
